Moving Checklist

• Six weeks: Fill out the USPS change of address form
• Six weeks: Call multiple licensed and insured movers in Houston for an estimate
• Six weeks: Purchase moving boxes start packing off season clothes
• Four weeks: Call financial institutions and let them know your new address
• Four weeks: Call the utility companies to schedule disconnections
• Four weeks: Ask a trusted friend or neighbor to watch your kids and/or pets on the day of the move
• Two weeks: Begin eating all the dry goods in your pantry
• Two weeks: Safely empy gas out of lawn mowers or snow blowers that are being moved
• Day of move: Make sure to you have your important medications with you
• Day of move: Carry your cell phone charger with you
• Day of move: Consider hiring a service to clean your new home before you move in
• Day of move: Try to have fun! moving is stressful and a good attitude goes a long way
